multi-voice sound effect

Few days back I successfully got Raaga.com working on my office linux PC. I just downloaded and installed the latest nightly build of realplayer for linux. It has the fix for supporting streaming data in realplayer for linux.

Was listening to few tamil songs on Raaga. This is what I think about a particular sound effect used nowadays. There are few songs in which the lead singing have multiple voice (hears as if 2 or 3 singers are singing extremely well in sync). It is done by some computer mixing, by which you attenuate or amplify the lead voice and then add delay to it and add it back to the original voice. At the end it looks as if 2 or 3 singers are singing at the same time. The overall effect looks (hears) very good. Infact, it is a great effect to hear than the plain 'single-voice-singing'.
